The Fire and Security Association (FSA)

ECA members' interests in the electronic fire and security systems sectors have been considerable for many years. Approximately 75% of the Association's membership is involved, at some stage, in the business of designing, installing, commissioning, maintaining and monitoring electronic fire and security systems.

To ensure this involvement in fire and security is professionally supported, and effectively represented, the ECA created its 'policy engine' the Fire and Security Association, in January 2007.

ECA and SELECT (Scotland) members possessing the necessary fire and / or security accreditations and qualifications are promoted via the FSA as fire and / or security specialists. The FSA represents also the interests of ECA members who have a business involvement in, for example, the installation only aspect of fire and security systems.

Since its launch in January 2007, the FSA has attracted many new members not traditionally associated with the ECA and SELECT and is now the fastest growing association in the fire and security systems sectors.

The FSA:

  • Benefits from the established ECA platform and significant trade association membership services
  • Consists of accredited companies that design, install, commission, maintain and monitor electronic fire and security systems
  • Provides an environment in which companies of all shapes and sizes can be represented by probably the most authoritative voice in the sector
  • Supports skills development in the sector and intervenes, where appropriate, to support the uptake of training, qualifications and apprenticeships
  • Is committed to the improvement and development of member' businesses by providing accurate advice, guidance and tangible benefits
  • Is shaping the future of the business environment in which members operate through collaborative discussion, networking and effective representation
